8:29 a.m.

Okay, so starting today I'm quite positive my kids are going to label me the meanest mom in the world, but I don't care! I am fed up with my kids NEVER eating. Before their food is even on the table I frequently hear, "I don't like this." To which I reply, "How in the world do you know you don't like it when you haven't even tried it!"

So both girls asked for breakfast this morning, and I gave them what THEY wanted, halfway through eating they both decide they are done and don't want anymore. I'm furious and fuming (that may be because I had a rough nights go with Grant...felt like I had a newborn again.) I threatened the girls like I always do that they would not be getting any snacks until lunch time! It is a new week and boy are they in for a surprise because this mean mom is sticking to her guns! So it is now 8:29 a.m. and Jessi wants a snack, she is hungry....NOWAY, you are? (like the sarcasm?) Sorry there little girl you have about 3 hours until you can eat again. NO neighbors, grammies, or Nanas will be coming to their rescue! If they don't eat what is given so be it...strave! They will learn hopefully sooner vs. later. Please tell me other moms have this same issue!

Graduation Day

I never thought the day Jessi graduating from preschool would be here so soon. It seems like yesterday we were at the hospital waiting for her arrival. Wait is what we did, after being 10 days late, induced, in labor for about 18 hours, pushing for NOTHING, are sweet little Jessica arrived via c-section to an extremely BLESSED mom & dad. She instantly filled our lives with new meaning and purpose. Needless to say her mommy has a hard time seeing these milestones come and go.

Jessi was so proud of her accomplishments on graduation night, as she should be! We did encounter some bumps throughout the year. There were numerous days that Jessi left with tears in her eyes, doubt in her voice, and fear in her steps. Let me tell you when you have a mom that can't keep it all together; it doesn't help a 4 year old to overcome their fears. Thank goodness for AMAZING teachers! Mrs. Boomsma and Mrs. Van were the greatest gifts to Jess and I. Their love for Jessi was so evident and I truely believe the only reason mom and daughter conquered separation from eachother was because of them. Throughout all of this I actually thought maybe I should just homeschool.....yeah, that feeling soon passed!

Jessi made numerous friends, but one of her best friends was Olivia. And if a 4 year old can have a crush on a boy I think it must have been on Grant Mulder. I actually think that is why she wanted her brother to be Grant! And well if mom could pick....it would be Charlie Schut (below)...so cute! (i write this only to show them that moms know best...some day I'll show them this picture when they are dating)

Jessi sure learned a lot while in preschool, but at conferences Mrs. Boomsma said she is very confident in her praying and love for God......my heart melted. In Mrs. Boomsma's words and my exact feelings, "what more do we really want for our kids than that; to love our creator and Father."

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

~Rainy day...time for me to catch up on blogging~

Okay, so I've become a bit lazy on keeping my life journaled, BUT look at all the Belds have been doing the past couple of weeks....I think I have good reason to be behind!

We have started are very own and very first garden. All done by our own hands. Kirk built the raised garden boxes, with some help from Grandpa and grammie the girls planted the seeds and plants, and mom pulls the weeds. It has been so cool to see the girls get so excited about the new growth. They have there very own gloves and watering cans. Look at how into it they are~

So come this summer if you are in need of any veggies head are way. We've got about 5 different kinds of tomatoes, peppers, Indian corn, sunflowers, pumpkins, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, broccoli, carrots, beans, potatoes, and some Gerber daisies. Our very own farmers market...I love it!
