Charlie's Angels

Okay, so this might not be so odd to see, Rachel, a Beld holding a gun. And for some reason it doesn't look so bad on April either, BUT, me?

I guess I had NO idea what this family was getting me into when I married Kirk.......good thing they didn't tell me they would be FORCING me to do these types of dangerous activities because I probably wouldn't hold the Beld name if they did. My mom would fall off her rocker if she seen these pics:)

Not bad for the first time!

April looks like a darn pro...stand back Zak!

By the way, all the kiddos were watching us from inside and my girls did not like it that mom or their aunties were playing with guns. Hmmm, how are you suppose to teach them to keep their paws off?

There you have it folks the true Charlie's Angels............from Blendon that is:)

the thrill

Okay, so it isn't everyday that a hot air balloon lands right behind your neighbors house. We all watched as this balloon got closer to the house. I was pumped to be so close. The girls watched in amazement. I found myself running to my neighbors backyard, Gracie in my arms, to watch it land. Way cool! I felt like a little kid chasing it........

simply gratitude

coming in at #15.......the sky. His work, His painting, His hands, His perfect placement. This picture was taken about a week ago outside our house looking east......what a sunrise!

......and #23, the wind last night. God speaking. God's power. His control. Mark 4:39, "He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, Quiet! Be still! Then the wind died down and it was completely calm." I love being more aware of God. I love counting my graces. It made me aware of God's presence last night. I sensed Him telling me, His child, Quiet! Be still! And wow how He moves in me, us, when we are still! And when we are still how completely calm life seems to be! God is so good.

I Thessalonians 5:16-18

Nothing sounded better to me today than the noise of Kirk's truck pulling into the garage, the door opening, and Gracie's feet hitting the floor to greet him home from a long weekend away hunting. I'm not going to lie it's not always a fun filled time when he is away. I get tired, impatient with the demands of the kids weighing all on me, breaking up fights, and this weekend watching from inside the rain hitting the windows causing us all to get a little cabin fever.

To which I remember a few of my favorite verses in the Bible, I Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

I have to say I have come a long way since we've been married, especially with kids, and enjoying this time of the year. I wasn't always nice about Kirk leaving, a lot of times was fed up by the time he got home, and well quite frankly wanted to curse hunting season all together. But I am glad, joyful, that Kirk gets this time with his dad and buddies to hang out, do guy things, enjoy his hobby. I've learned to support him and what makes him happy. Hence, be joyful always.

I do believe God also puts us in position to rely more on Him. I did get impatient, lonely, and frustrated at times, but what a opportunity to seek Him. Therefore, pray continually.

It also opens this door for me and the kids to have more quality time together. Looking back on this weekend the kids and I had a lot of fun. We colored a lot, played tons of games, snuggled to cartoons in our jammies, ate cinnamon rolls without daddies help, went to the park, and had movie night with our cousins. In this I give thanks.

These verses are packed with a lot to live up to. But when you look at the situation you are in I believe you can always find some joy, God wants us to fall at His feet to pray, and no matter what we should learn to give thanks in any and all circumstances.

I am so thankful Kirk is back home to lend his helping hands. It's not until he is gone that I realize just how much he does with the kids and around the house...thanks Kirk...I love you!

It's back!

It was another weekly duty. Yes, I said duty, because that is what grocery shopping at Meijers is. Sometimes Kirk says, go take a break, go to Meijers, get groceries, without the kids. Yah, okay honey, sounds like a blast!

Well, I gotta say my last trip was without the kids and that made for a little bit of a happy expression upon my face while walking aisle after aisle.
Milk....check,
eggs....check,
bread...check.
And there it was, I almost screamed out loud with excitement. My face went from tired and not so excited to huge smile, beaming with joy.

There she was sitting in the cooler staring at me BUY ME, BUY ME....yes folks, it is back....Coffee Mate's Peppermint Mocha creamer. This stuff is only around during the holidays and it is on the shelf! Now that was the most excited I have ever been grocery shopping and I'm sure it will be the last.
